Catherine Dilts’s short story “Unrepentant Sinner” appears in the May/June issue of Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine.

Jeff Lockwood’s Poisoned Justice (Pen-L, 2016) has been named one of three finalists in the IBPA’s 2017 Benjamin Franklin Awards competition in the category of Mystery & Suspense.  The Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) has nearly 3,000 members and is the largest publishing trade association in the United States.  A single Gold award winner will be chosen from the finalists in each category and announced during a ceremony to be held Friday evening, April 7, 2017 at the Historic Benson Hotel in Portland, OR.

Stalking Ground by Margaret Mizushima is a finalist in the Colorado Book Awards mystery category.

Two RMMWA members are Derringer Award nominees. The Short Mystery Fiction Society listed as finalists Catherine Dilts’ story “The Chemistry of Heroes” in the Novelette category, and R. T. Lawton’s “An Ill Wind” in the Flash category.
