Women Writing the West has awarded the 2026 WILLA Literary Award in Mystery/Thriller to member Skye Griffith for Bone Hash. Skye will receive the award at the organization’s annual convention, this year in Phoenix on October 17, 2026. Women Writing the West is an organization of writers and other professionals who write and promote writing about the West with emphasis on the experiences of western women and girls. The WILLA Award was named in honor of Pulitzer Prize winning novelist,Willa Cather, and recognizes the best in literature featuring women’s or girls’ stories set in the North American West that are published each year.
