The Fire Thief, the first in the Dark Paradise Mystery series by Debra Bokur, launched on May 26, to strong reviews both Publisher’s Weekly and Criminal Elements.
Set in Hawaii, the series features Detective Kali Māhoe, who uses her knowledge of Hawaiian spiritual traditions and legends to solve crimes that often have links to the lore of the islands.
