“Tips Lawyers Wish You Knew: Going It Alone at the Courthouse” by Ann Zeigler recently received the Bronze Medal Award in the James McGrath Morris Prize for narrative nonfiction at the Albuquerque Museum’s “Celebration of Writing” competition. “Tips” is also the 2019 New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards Winner for Best Guide Book and for Best Cover Design (small format). Zeigler recently presented a 90-minute informal talk about practical tips for surviving an encounter with either the civil or criminal side of the two U.S. court systems.
