Sandi Ault announces WILD SORROW, has won another award — this one the WILLA Literary Award for Best Contemporary Fiction. Way to go, Sandi.

Twist Phelan won the International Thriller Writers' Best Short Story Award for "A STAB IN THE HEART." Whoo hoo!

R.T. Lawton announces the publication of “THE LITTLE NOGAI BOY,” AHMM September 2010 issue. This story is the prequel to the Armenian series. On the Steppes of 1850, a 7-year old boy from the declining Nogai Horde attaches himself to a wandering Armenian who trades with warring Cossacks and raiding Chechens on both sides of the Terek River. The Public Safety Writers Association (PSWA) awarded Mike Angley a 2010 Fiction Award for his second novel, CHILD FINDER: RESSURECTION. Founded in 1997 as the Police Writers Club, the PSWA includes police officers, civilian police personnel, firefighters, fire support personnel, emergency personnel, security personnel and others in the public safety field. Craig Johnson bested the Iceland Volcano and just returned from France where his novel LITTLE BIRD (THE COLD DISH) won the Prix de Roman Noir for best crime novel in translation in France, awarded by Nouvel Observateur (France's largest news magazine) in association with Virgin Megastores. What a huge honor. Congratulations, Craig!

Bonnie Ramthun’s novel THE WHITE GATES has been selected as a nominee for the 2010-2011 Truman Readers Award for the state of Missouri. THE WHITE GATES and the other 10 nominees will be presented to students all across Missouri during the 2010-2011 school year. The winner of the award will be announced at the spring meeting of the Missouri Association of School Librarians.
